Sir Bradley Wiggins is a British professional road and track cyclist born April 28, 1980, in Ghent, Belgium, who in 2012 became the first British rider to win the Tour de France and the same year became Great Britain's most decorated Olympian, finishing his career with eight Olympic medals across five Games. He is the only cyclist to have won world and Olympic titles on both the track and the road, won three individual pursuit and two team pursuit world titles, set the hour record in 2015 at 54.526 kilometers, and was knighted in 2013.
