Brad Johnson, born James Bradley Johnson on September 13, 1968, is an American former professional quarterback who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. He spent time with the Minnesota Vikings, the Washington Redskins, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys, and he is best known for his years in Tampa Bay, where he led the Buccaneers to victory in Super Bowl XXXVII. Before the professional game he played college football for the Florida State Seminoles, and the league selected him in the ninth round of the 1992 draft. He is also remembered for a rare feat: in a 1997 game against the Carolina Panthers he became the first player in the league to complete a touchdown pass to himself, a distinction he held alone until Marcus Mariota repeated it in a 2018 postseason game.
