Blaise Matuidi is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder, born on 9 April 1987. He began with amateur clubs in the Ile-de-France region, attended the Clairefontaine academy from 2000, and made his professional debut with Troyes in the 2004-05 season. After Saint-Etienne, where he captained the side, he joined Paris Saint-Germain in July 2011 and won sixteen domestic honours there, including four consecutive Ligue 1 titles. In 2017 he moved to Juventus and won a domestic double in his first season, followed by two more league titles. He later played for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer and retired in 2022. For France he made his debut in 2010, played at two European Championships and two World Cups, and won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
