Billy Duffy, formally William Duffy, was an Irish hurler who lived from 1931 until June 2005 and played as a midfielder for the Galway senior team. He made his first appearance for Galway during the 1952 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement, due to emigration, after the 1955 championship. During that time he failed to win any silverware. He is identified here as the Galway midfielder of the 1950s to tell him apart from other people of the same name.
