Barry McGoldrick (born 29 April 1985) is an Irish Gaelic footballer from Portstewart who plays for the Derry county team and is also a dual player, playing club football and hurling for Eoghan Rua. He won the 2002 Ulster Minor and All-Ireland Minor Championships with Derry, was part of the Derry team that beat Kerry in the final of the 2008 National League, and missed the 2009 final through injury. From that campaign he played mostly at centre half back rather than in the forward line and has remained a defender since, and he was named Derry captain for the 2011 season by manager John Brennan. With Eoghan Rua he won the Derry Intermediate and Ulster Intermediate Championships in 2006 and the Derry Senior Football Championship in 2010 and 2018. He also hurled for Derry, winning the 2006 Nicky Rackard Cup. His father Sean played for Antrim.
