Bacary Sagna, born on 14 February 1983, is a French former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He also appeared regularly as a wing-back and, on several occasions, as a centre-back for Arsenal, where his former manager Arsène Wenger once described him as the best right-back in the Premier League. Sagna began his career at Auxerre and moved to Arsenal for 7 million pounds in 2007. In 2014, shortly after winning the FA Cup, which was his first trophy with the club, he left for Manchester City. He was a French international from 2007 to 2016 and played at the 2010 and 2014 editions of the FIFA World Cup, as well as at UEFA Euro 2016, which was held in France.
