Augusto Akio

Augusto Akio Takahashi dos Santos is a Brazilian skateboarder specialising in park skateboarding, born on 12 December 2000. He began to stand out on the national scene at eleven. In 2019 he won bronze at the Vert World Championship in Barcelona and placed sixth in the final of the X Games in Minneapolis, but he did not qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Games. He won silver in the men's park at the 2022 World Skateboarding Championship and at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, then bronze in the men's park at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In September 2024 he became world champion in the skate park, with his compatriot Pedro Barros as runner-up.
