Annemiek van Vleuten is a Dutch professional road cyclist born October 8, 1982, in Vleuten, Netherlands, who competed from 2009 to 2023 for teams including Rabobank-Liv, Mitchelton-Scott and Movistar before retiring at the end of the 2023 season. She won the UCI Road World Championship road race in 2019 and 2022 and the time trial in 2017 and 2018, Olympic gold in the 2020 time trial and silver in the road race, and dominated women's Grand Tours by winning the Giro Donne five times, the inaugural Tour de France Femmes in 2022 and La Vuelta Femenina in 2023, becoming the first woman to complete a Giro-Tour double in the same year in 2022; she also won the UCI Women's World Tour three times and classics including Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Strade Bianche.
