Annemarie Moser-Proll

Annemarie Moser-Proll is an Austrian former alpine ski racer born in 1953 in Kleinarl, Salzburg, who specialized in downhill, giant slalom and combined events. She won Olympic gold in the downhill at the 1980 Lake Placid Games and two silver medals at the 1972 Sapporo Games, in downhill and giant slalom. She holds the all-time women's record of six overall World Cup titles, five of them consecutive from 1971 to 1975, along with 62 individual World Cup victories and five World Championship titles, three in downhill and two in combined. She holds the record for most races won in a single discipline in a row among female skiers, eleven consecutive downhill wins, and retired in 1980 after her Olympic gold medal.
