Anna Meares is an Australian track sprint cyclist born September 21, 1983. She won Olympic gold in the 500 meter time trial at the 2004 Athens Games and in the sprint at the 2012 London Games, plus a silver and three bronze medals across the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Games. She won 11 World Championship gold medals across the 500 meter time trial, sprint, team sprint and keirin, becoming the most decorated female track cyclist of all time after her 2015 keirin world title.
