Angelo Taylor

Angelo Taylor is an American sprinter and 400 metre hurdler, born on 29 December 1978 in Albany, Georgia. He competed at four Olympic Games, in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012, and Olympedia credits him with four medals, three gold and one silver. He won the 400 metres hurdles at Sydney in 2000 and again at Beijing in 2008, a pair of titles in the same event separated by a Games, and he added a 4 x 400 metre relay gold in 2008 and a relay silver in 2012. In 2004 he went out in the first round of the hurdles, and in 2012 he finished fifth in the individual final. At the World Championships he also won relay golds in 2007, 2009 and 2011 and an individual 400 metres bronze in 2007. He ran in college for Georgia Tech, where he was NCAA champion in 1998, and his listed personal bests are 44.05 seconds for the flat 400 metres and 47.25 for the hurdles.
