Angelique Kerber (born 18 January 1988) is a German former professional tennis player who reached the world number one ranking in women's singles and held it for 34 weeks, including as year end number one in 2016. She won three Grand Slam singles titles, at the 2016 Australian Open, the 2016 US Open and the 2018 Wimbledon Championships, and she won a silver medal in women's singles at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She won 14 WTA Tour singles titles in total, retired from the sport after the 2024 Paris Olympics, and finished her career with prize money of more than 32.5 million US dollars, the eleventh highest in the sport's history.
