Allen Iverson, nicknamed the Answer, is an American former professional basketball player born in 1975 who spent 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association as both a shooting guard and a point guard. He was the first overall pick of the 1996 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, was named Rookie of the Year in 1997 and won the league Most Valuable Player award in 2001, when he also led his team to the NBA Finals. He won four scoring titles, was an 11-time All-Star, represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics, winning bronze, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. Later he played in Turkey for Besiktas and returned as a player-coach in the BIG3 league. He is regarded as one of the greatest scorers and ball handlers the game has produced.
