Alexei Chizhov is a Russian international draughts grandmaster who won the International Draughts World Championship ten times between 1988 and 2005, one of the longest championship reigns in the sport's history. His eighth world title in 1996 surpassed the record for career championships that had stood until then. Chizhov also won the USSR national championship in 1990 and the Russian national championship in 2016, and headed the World Draughts Federation in 2003. He was born in Izhevsk, Russia in 1964.
