Alexandre Armand Lacazette, born on 28 May 1991, is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Saudi Pro League club Neom. He plays mainly as a striker but has also been used as a second striker and as a wide forward. He began his senior career with his hometown club Lyon in 2010 at the age of 19, was converted from a wide forward into a striker, and finished the 2014-15 season as the top goalscorer in Ligue 1 and as its Player of the Year. In 2017 he signed for Arsenal in a then club record transfer worth up to 46.5 million pounds, and with Arsenal he won the FA Cup in 2020 and reached the 2019 UEFA Europa League final. He returned to Lyon on a free transfer in 2022 and became the club's second highest all-time goalscorer. He made his debut for the France national team in 2013, scored the winning goal in the final of the 2010 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, and as an over-age player captained France to the silver medal at the 2024 Olympics.
