Alex Jesaulenko, born in 1945 and of Ukrainian descent, is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League for Carlton and St Kilda and later coached both clubs. A Legend of the Australian Football Hall of Fame, he was known for his versatility, balance and spectacular marking, and took the most iconic mark in football history in the 1970 grand final. He was recruited from Canberra and has played more games and kicked more goals than any other player from the Australian Capital Territory.
