Ainhoa Murúa Zubizarreta is a Basque triathlete who competed for Spain, born on 18 July 1978. Having won numerous triathlons in her native Basque Country, she took part in her first international triathlon in 2001 and went on to win one World Cup and several European titles. She competed in three Olympic triathlons: the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she finished 24th in 2:09:27.91, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where she was 28th, and the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she came seventh in 2:00:56.00, her best Olympic result. She also finished at the Europe Triathlon Championships in 2012, the same year as her seventh place at the Olympics.
