Reinhard Libuda, nicknamed Stan, lived from 10 October 1943 to 25 August 1996 and was a German footballer who played on the right wing. Born in Wendlinghausen near Lemgo, he was known for his skill as a dribbler, which was a major factor in Borussia Dortmund's 1966 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup win, where he scored the final goal in a 2-1 extra time victory over Liverpool, and in West Germany's third-place finish at the 1970 FIFA World Cup. He played for Schalke 04 from 1961 to 1976 with two interruptions, for Dortmund from 1965 to 1968 and for RC Strasbourg in 1972-73. He won 26 caps and scored three goals for West Germany between 1963 and 1971, and played 264 Bundesliga games, scoring 28 goals. He took his nickname from the English winger Stanley Matthews, and he was involved in the Bundesliga scandal of 1971.
