Abdalaati Iguider

Abdalaati Iguider is a Moroccan middle-distance runner, born on 25 March 1987 in Errachidia in the Draa-Tafilalet region of Morocco, who competed in the 1,500 metres at three Summer Olympic Games. Olympedia records him finishing fifth in the men's 1,500 metres at the 2008 Games, taking the bronze medal in the same event at the 2012 Games (where he also placed sixth in the 5,000 metres), and finishing fifth again in 2016. His listed personal best for the 1,500 metres is 3:28.79, set in 2015. Beyond the Olympics he is recorded as a medallist at the World Athletics Championships (a 1,500 metres bronze in Beijing in 2015), at the World Athletics Indoor Championships (silver in Doha in 2010, gold in Istanbul in 2012 and bronze in Sopot in 2014, all over 1,500 metres) and at the Mediterranean Games (a 1,500 metres bronze in Pescara in 2009).
