American Contract Bridge League

The American Contract Bridge League is a governing body for contract bridge in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Bermuda, and is the largest such organization in North America. It was formed on December 23, 1937 in New York City through a merger of the American Bridge League and the United States Bridge Association. Its mission is to promote, grow and sustain the game of bridge and serve the bridge-related interests of its members, who numbered more than 130,000 as of 2025. The League sanctions games at local clubs and regional events, certifies educators and directors, conducts the North American Bridge Championships, provides educational materials, administers a masterpoints tracking system, oversees ethical standards, and represents member interests with the World Bridge Federation. Its headquarters, relocated in 2010, is in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
