The Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) is the National Olympic Committee for Japan, founded in 1911 as Japan's first modern sports governing body and headquartered in Tokyo, making it the oldest National Olympic Committee in Asia. It selects and fields Japan's Olympic team, oversees dozens of affiliated national sport federations, and organized Japan's participation around the 1964 and 2020 (held in 2021) Summer Olympics hosted in Tokyo.
