Yukon is a solitaire card game played with a single deck of playing cards, in the family of Klondike but with a different layout and a different way of moving cards. There is no stock or draw pile: every card is dealt at the start into seven tableau stacks of 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 cards, the upper five cards of each stack face up and the rest face down, and four foundations build up by suit. Groups of cards can be moved together, and only the first card of the moved group must fit the sequence of alternating colours on its target, whatever lies beneath it. The usual strategy is to expose the face-down cards early and to move the aces to the foundations as soon as possible. Russian Solitaire is a close relative that builds by suit, and Alaska and Australian Patience are also closely related.
