World War I: 1914-1918 is a two-player board wargame published in 1975 by Simulations Publications Inc. that simulates the First World War at a strategic level, one side commanding the Triple Entente and the other the Central Powers. It first appeared as a pull-out game in issue 51 of SPI Strategy and Tactics magazine before being reissued as a folio game in cardstock packaging. The design uses about one hundred cardboard counters and only eight pages of rules, a deliberately compact ruleset that contemporary critics praised for its ingenuity, short playing time and emphasis on resource management over fiddly detail, making it one of the more approachable strategic-level wargames of its era.
