War in Europe is a grand strategic monster board wargame published by Simulations Publications Inc. in 1976 that attempts to simulate the entirety of the European theatre of the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. It is among the largest wargames ever produced, with four thousand game pieces, four rulebooks and nine maps covering roughly thirty eight and a half square feet when assembled. The game is played by three players representing the Allies, the Axis and the Soviet forces, though each side may be controlled by a team, and the publisher estimated that a full campaign would take at least one hundred eighty hours to complete.
