Viewpoint (card game)

Viewpoint is a card game played with a series of specially printed decks whose cards are themed around vision and eyesight, with titles and images built on plays on words such as Spectacles, Eye Spy and Blind Freddie. The game was designed by Sean Carroll and its first edition was released by the Australian publisher 93 Made Games at the Gen Con Oz gaming convention in September 2009. Two to six players can take part, and the game is expandable with additional theme decks beyond the original release. A typical round takes only ten to twenty minutes, making it a quick filler game, and it is recommended for players aged seven and up. Skills drawn on during play include strategy, bluffing, basic arithmetic and reading, reflecting the wordplay foundation of the deck designs and the game's roots in the independent Australian tabletop games scene of the late 2000s.
