Twilight Struggle

Wargame

Twilight Struggle: The Cold War, 1945-1989 is a two-player board game published by GMT Games in 2005 and designed by Ananda Gupta and Jason Matthews. One player controls the United States and the other the Soviet Union, competing for influence across the world map by playing cards keyed to real Cold War events, from crises and elections to cultural and military moves. A typical game runs about three hours and blends card-driven strategy with a modest amount of dice-based chance. The game became one of the most acclaimed titles in modern board gaming, holding the top rank on BoardGameGeek's user rankings from December 2010 to January 2016 and selling more than 100,000 copies, making it GMT Games' best-selling release.
