Titanic: The Board Game is a board game published by Universal Games in 1998, based on the 1912 sinking of the RMS Titanic. Designed by Sandra Gentry and Valen Brost for up to six players, it casts each participant as a fictional passenger navigating the ship's decks and class areas, collecting items to advance toward the lifeboats before the ship sinks. The first player to reach a lifeboat wins the game; among the remaining passengers, the survivor holding the most money places second. The game sold roughly 300,000 copies and ranked among Toys R Us's top five games the year it was released, though reviewers gave mixed marks to its strategic depth.
