Throne of Eldraine

Throne of Eldraine is a standalone expansion set for the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, released on October 4, 2019 with the expansion code ELD and containing 269 cards under the development codename Archery. The set draws its setting and characters from classic fairy tale traditions, blending elements of Arthurian legend centered on Camelot with the folklore tradition of the Brothers Grimm; lead designer Mark Rosewater said fairy tale and Arthurian material spans enough tone and subject matter to supply story hooks for all five of the game's colors of magic. The set's release also marked the official launch of the digital platform MTG Arena out of its beta period, tying a major expansion for the first time to the digital client's full public release.
