The X-Files Trivia Game

Deduction and Guessing Games

The X-Files Trivia Game is a 1997 trivia board game published by 20th Century Fox and licensed from the American science fiction television series The X-Files. Gameplay centers on trivia questions drawn from the series: players roll a four-sided die to randomly select which question category they must answer from, testing their knowledge of the show's characters, episodes and mythology. It was one of several tabletop and collectible products released around the same period, alongside The X-Files Collectible Card Game from the US Playing Card Company, as part of a wider wave of merchandise tied to the show that also included VHS and DVD releases, video games and a dedicated magazine. As a licensed trivia product rather than an original design, its content and question categories were built directly around the ongoing X-Files television series rather than an independent game system.
