The Masters of the Universe Role Playing Game is a licensed role-playing game published by FASA in 1985. It is based on the Mattel television media franchise Masters of the Universe, which the source calls popular. As a licensed game it carries a pre-existing fictional setting and its characters to the tabletop, where players take on roles within that world according to written rules, in the same way as other tabletop role-playing games.
