The Great Khan Game

Modern Conquest and War Games

The Great Khan Game is a fantasy card-and-board game published by TSR, Inc. in 1989, designed by Tom Wham with Richard Hamblen, with map and card artwork by Jeff Dee and Amanda Dee. Set in the fictional Whamite Isles, the game has players assemble groupings of cards representing fantasy rulers, notable people and holdings, competing to acquire countries by gathering the rulers and important figures associated with each land. Play combines a physical board representing the isles with a card-driven acquisition system, distinguishing it from purely board-based conquest games of the same period. The boxed set format was typical of TSR's non-Dungeons and Dragons game lines of the late 1980s.
