Stardew Valley: The Board Game

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Stardew Valley: The Board Game is a cooperative tabletop adaptation of the farming and community simulation video game Stardew Valley, created by designers Eric Barone and Cole Medeiros and published by ConcernedApe in 2021. The game supports one to four players in sessions that typically run from forty five to two hundred minutes, and it carries over the source video game's premise of rebuilding a struggling town's Community Center by completing objectives set out by the player's late grandfather and by gathering resource tiles scattered across the valley. At the start of play each participant selects a profession and starting tools, and on their turns they visit one of seven locations on the shared board to gather resources, complete tasks, or otherwise advance the shared goal, collecting Hearts as the game's central currency along the way. Play ends once the community center's objectives and any related delivery packages have been completed, ideally before a fourth Winter card is revealed, translating the original video game's slower paced farming and relationship building themes into a structured, turn based cooperative tabletop format.
