Spy Alley is a board game in which each player secretly works undercover for the intelligence agency of one of six countries. Players move around the board trying to be the first to gather the four items tied to their assigned country: a password, a disguise, a code book, and a key, before racing to reach their own embassy to win. The game's tension comes from its hidden-identity structure, since any opponent who deduces which country a player represents may expose that player's nationality and eliminate them from the game before they can finish collecting their items. First published in 1992 and designed by William Stephenson, Spy Alley has been recognized with several honors, including Family Life's Best Learning Toys distinction, a Mensa Select Award, a Parents' Choice Award, and a spot on Games Magazine's Top 100 list.
