Sorry! is a board game in which players use a deck of movement cards, rather than dice, to race a set of tokens around a track from their own start to their own home area, sending opponents' tokens back to start when landing on the same space. It was invented by William Henry Storey in England and patented in 1929, drawing on the same cross-track race format as Pachisi and Parcheesi, and it was later acquired and published in the United States by Parker Brothers, becoming one of that company's long-running standard board game titles.
