Smallville Roleplaying Game

Tabletop role-playing game

The Smallville Roleplaying Game is a superhero themed tabletop role-playing game published in 2010 by Margaret Weis Productions, designed by Cam Banks. It is set in the universe of the television series Smallville, itself based on the DC Comics character Superman, and lets players take the role of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, other characters from the show, or entirely original characters placed into that town. The game runs on the Cortex Plus system and spans genres the show itself mixed, including superhero action, teen drama, science fiction and fantasy. Its mechanics are built around relationship and value based traits rather than combat statistics, so play is explicitly weighted toward interpersonal conflict and narrative pressure between characters rather than raw physical power, matching the soap opera structure of the source television series.
