Serenity Role Playing Game

Tabletop Role-Playing Game

Serenity Role Playing Game is a science fiction tabletop role-playing game set in the universe of the 2005 film Serenity and its preceding television series Firefly. It was designed by Jamie Chambers and published in 2005 by Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd. under license from the property's owners. The game was the first tabletop title to use the Cortex System, a rules-light generic roll-over system played with polyhedral dice, in which a character's abilities are represented by different die types, with a larger die indicating greater capability. Serenity Role Playing Game won the 2005 Origins Award for Best Roleplaying Game. Margaret Weis Productions' licensing agreement to publish material for the setting expired on January 31, 2011.
