RisiKo!

Board game

RisiKo! is an Italian tabletop wargame descended from the classic territorial conquest game Risk, first published in 1968 by the Milan based company Giochiclub. Its name borrows from the German edition of Risk, Risiko, though its ruleset draws on conventions from several international versions of the parent game rather than copying any single one outright. The defining difference from standard Risk is its win condition: rather than requiring a player to conquer the entire board, each participant is dealt a secret objective card describing an individual goal, such as holding a particular pair of continents, controlling a set number of territories, or eliminating a named rival's armies, and the first player to fulfil their own hidden mission wins. Giochiclub published the game for its first run through 1977, after which Editrice Giochi held the license for nearly four decades, refreshing the rules and components along the way, before Spin Master took over publication in 2016 and continues to sell RisiKo! in Italy today.
