Alignment and Abstract Strategy Games

Pueblo is an abstract strategy board game designed by Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling and published by Ravensburger in 2002. It is a competition to place blocks optimally in a constrained space, themed loosely around Taos Pueblo style architecture. Players position colored and neutral blocks on the board while moving a Chieftain piece, and the distinctive twist is that the goal is to prevent your own blocks from being visible to the Chieftain, since visible blocks score against their owner. As the ground level of the board fills up, players are forced to build upward, creating an increasingly complex three dimensional puzzle.
