Polskpas

Polskpas, also spelled Polsk Pas or Polskt Pass, is a Scandinavian trick-taking card game that originated in Denmark and is played by four individual players using a deck of twenty-four cards. Each hand deals five cards to every player in batches of two and three, and the four Jacks, called Wenzels, serve as permanent top trumps regardless of the suit named as trumps for that hand. The player to the dealer's left, the eldest hand, leads the bidding and has first right either to accept the deal as it stands or to name trumps. During play, participants must follow the suit led whenever possible, and a player wins a hand by taking at least three of the five tricks, or by being the first to win two tricks when no single player can take all the remaining ones outright. The game traditionally uses a small monetary pot to which players contribute stakes, won by whoever meets the trick-taking requirement.
