Pass the Bomb

Pass the Bomb is a party word game invented by Jon Kitching and published by the Austrian games company Piatnik, with English-language rights licensed to Weekend Games. Play runs over thirteen rounds: a card showing a short letter combination, such as KE, is revealed, and players pass a plastic bomb-shaped timer around the group, each in turn calling out a real word that contains those letters together, such as keep or spike. The timer is set to go off after a random interval known to no one in advance, and whoever is holding it when it explodes loses one of their lives for that round. The original edition includes a die that determines where in a word the required letters must fall, while a louder travel edition drops the die for simpler play. After all thirteen rounds, the player who has lost the fewest lives overall wins the game.
