Parchís

Parchís is a board game of Spanish origin belonging to the cross and circle family of race games, closely related to the Indian game Pachisi and to relatives such as Ludo and Parcheesi played elsewhere in the world. Two to four players each control a set of four tokens that start in a home yard, move around a cross shaped track according to throws of a die, and try to be the first to bring all four tokens around the board and into a home triangle at the center. Landing on an opponent's token can send it back to its yard, and players may need to throw an exact number to enter or finish, adding an element of tactical timing to the game's underlying reliance on chance. Parchís is a common family and social game across Spain and Latin America and is frequently sold in commercial editions alongside other classic board games.
