Panzer Pranks, subtitled WWII as it actually was in the movies, is a light-hearted board wargame published by Chaosium in 1980, designed by Steve Lortz and Kurt Lortz with illustrations by Rodger B. MacGowan. Rather than simulating real history, it satirizes the conventions and tropes common to Second World War board wargames, packaged as a paperback booklet in the style of the serious hobby titles it lampoons. Some contemporary critics regarded it less as a playable game than as an extended satirical commentary on wargaming culture itself, aimed squarely at hobbyists already familiar with the genre stock scenarios and design habits.
