Pandoer, also written Pandoeren, is a trick-taking card game for four players that used to be popular in the Netherlands and is said to be still played in Heerlen in the south. The Pagat rules page describes a 33 card pack made of the ace down to the seven in four suits plus the six of hearts. Each player gets four cards, one card is turned face up in the middle, and four more cards follow. Players then bid in turn from a ladder of contracts, from number contracts such as 120 or 130 card points, through Piccolo, where the declarer must win only the first trick, and Misère, where all tricks must be lost, up to Kereltje, Zwabber, Pandoer itself and Privé, where every trick must be won. The declarer takes the middle card, discards one card, names trumps and usually calls the holder of a named ace as a secret partner. Trump jack and nine rank highest, and extra points come from roem, which are sequences and sets of four, and from stuk, the king and queen of trumps. There are 146 card points to be won in play.
