Middle-earth Collectible Card Game

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Middle-earth Collectible Card Game (MECCG) is an out-of-print collectible card game released by Iron Crown Enterprises in late 1995, the first CCG based on J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Designed by Coleman Charlton and Mike Reynolds, it was actively supported until 1998, with a typical setup time under fifteen minutes and games running over an hour, combining card play, dice rolling and strategic thought with a moderate role for chance. The cards carried artwork by noted Tolkien illustrators including John Howe, Ted Nasmith and Angus McBride.
