Marvel Champions: The Card Game

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Marvel Champions: The Card Game is a cooperative superhero card game for one to four players, dated 2019 on its Board Game Matcher page and credited there to designers Caleb Grace, Michael Boggs and Nate French. Each player takes a specific hero such as Iron Man, Captain Marvel or Spider-Man with a unique deck, and switches between a fragile alter ego and a stronger hero form while villains attack. The page stresses hand management and resource timing, interrupts that let players react during one another turns, and a villain threat clock that works the same at any player count, so solo play suits it as well as a full table. It follows the Living Card Game model of continuing hero and scenario releases and has a play time near 90 minutes.
