Loba (card game)

Loba, Spanish for she-wolf and also called Loba Carioca, is a popular South American card game and a variant of Rummy. It is played with two standard decks totaling 104 cards plus four jokers, and accommodates two to six participants. Although the game is said to have originated in Central America, it has become especially popular in Argentina and Bolivia, and local rules vary by region. Players aim to empty their hands of cards by laying down combinations as runs or sets on the table, discarding and drawing in turn until one player goes out.
