Leap Frog, also known as Leapfrog, is a multi-player abstract strategy board game described by H.J.R. Murray in his history of board games other than chess, which attributes its origin to England. In the traditional game, players take any piece on the board and hop over other pieces to capture them. When no more captures are possible the game ends, and the player with the most captured pieces wins. Murray lists it among the Clearance Games alongside Solitaire, which it resembles except that Solitaire is typically played by one person. Several variants exist, including one by Murray himself that uses differently colored pieces with alternative point values.
