Kriegsmarine (board game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Kriegsmarine is a two player board wargame published by Simulations Canada in 1980 and designed by Stephen Newberg, with cover art by Rodger B. MacGowan. It simulates tactical naval combat in the Atlantic and Mediterranean during the Second World War across seventeen scenarios drawn from historical engagements, ranging from single ship duels to full fleet actions. The game ships with a twenty two by twenty eight inch hex grid map, 255 die cut counters and a sixteen page rulebook, and was printed in a run of 2,000 copies across both ziplock bag and boxed set editions. The published components carry a recurring misspelling, Kreigsmarine, on both the rulebook and the map. It was part of a wider Simulations Canada series of naval wargames built on compatible rules so that multiple titles in the line could be combined into larger scenarios.
