Klammern is an ace-ten point-trick card game and a variant of Jass, played with a 32-card French deck by three or four players, with the standard form dividing four players into two competing teams. It is particularly widespread in the Alemannic region, played in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, and parts of southern Germany and Alsace, and has also become popular in northwestern Germany, where it is known by alternate names including Klapperjazz and Klapperjass.
