Kingdom Death: Monster

Kingdom Death: Monster is a cooperative board game created by designer Adam Poots and released in 2015 through Adam Poots Games LLC. Categorized as a miniature wargame, it supports one to four players under its standard rules, with a variant allowing five or six, and a full campaign can span between sixty and one hundred eighty hours of play across many linked sessions. Players begin with nearly unequipped characters who must survive a Hunt phase tracking a chosen monster and a Showdown phase resolving combat through dice rolls, gaining equipment and resources from defeated monsters to build up a settlement over time. Characters killed in combat are permanently removed and replaced from the settlement's surviving population, and a full game ends either when a final boss monster is defeated or when the settlement's population falls to zero. The game is recommended for players seventeen and older.
